12. Thiru Kudandai (Kumbakonam)

This Divya Kshetram, known as Sarangapani temple in located in Kumbakonam town. The moolavar is Aaravamudhan in kidandha thirukkolam. It is also known as Udhaana sayanam. It is a belief that the lord got up at the request of Thirumazhisai Azhwar. The thayar is Komalavalli. The vimanam is Vaideeka vimanam. This temple is considered as the third place after Srirangam and Thiruppathi.
