10. Kapisthalam

This Divya desam is located about 3kms from Papanasam near Kumbakonam. The moolavar is Gajendra Varadan and Thayar is Ramaamanivalli. The theertham is Gajendra pushkarini and the vimaanam is Gaganakruthi vimaaanam. Vaali and sugriva have worshipped at this temple and hence the name Kapisthalam. Another version is that Hanuman wanted to see "Gajendra Moksham" and hence did Tapas and Lord showed him that Darshan here.
